Your Round-Bottom Flask Shouldn't Break Mid-Distillation.

Uneven heating from standard mantles creates hot spots that crack glassware, degrade samples, and force you to repeat entire runs. The cost is not just the flask — it is the reagent, the time, and the result.

Sample Loss

Hot spots crack flasks and contaminate samples — one failed run wastes hours of prep and expensive reagents.

Repeated Runs

Temperature drift forces you to restart synthesis cycles. Every re-run multiplies cost and delays your downstream timeline.

Compliance Risk

Non-certified equipment creates audit gaps in pharmaceutical and regulated lab environments. One finding can hold up an entire batch.

The hidden cost of cutting corners

Your mantle is costing you more
than you think. Here's how.

Most labs don't replace a bad heating mantle until after a batch fails. By then, the real damage — reagents, time, compliance, reputation — is already done.

Uneven heating destroys your sample
Standard element-in-contact mantles create hot spots. One side of your flask runs 30–40°C hotter than the other. That's enough to degrade heat-sensitive compounds, denature proteins, and invalidate an entire run before you realise what went wrong.
1 hot spot = entire batch at risk
No timer means no unsupervised runs
Analogue mantles with no auto-cutoff require a technician to physically watch every long reflux or distillation. That's 4–8 hours of skilled labour per run that cannot be used elsewhere. Multiply by your weekly run count and the true cost becomes clear.
8 hrs/run of supervised idle time wasted
Flask breakage = chemical spill incident
Without a spill-collect system, a shattered flask during reflux spreads hot solvent across the bench. Beyond the safety incident report, you're looking at lab shutdown, deep cleaning, and regulatory inspection. One incident can cost weeks of downtime.
₹50,000+ average spill incident cost
±10% accuracy fails pharma QC
Standard analogue mantles offer ±10% temperature control accuracy. For pharmaceutical synthesis, food safety testing, and export compliance, most protocols require ±1–2°C. A mantle that can't meet that spec means your results cannot be submitted — or exported.
±10% accuracy = failed QC documentation
Export buyers demand CE certificates
If you're a distributor buying for resale into Europe, the US, or the Gulf — your end customer's procurement team will ask for UL and CE documentation. A mantle without certified paperwork will be returned at customs or rejected at the institution's purchase gate.
0 certificates = blocked at import gate
No probe = no real temperature control
Mantles without an external PT100 probe only measure surface temperature — not the actual temperature of your reaction medium. The gap between the two can be 20–60°C. You are not controlling your reaction. You are guessing. And guessing costs reproducibility.
20–60°C gap between plate temp and liquid temp
The Glassco BlackDiamond difference

Every issue above is engineered out of the BlackDiamond series. Glass fibre yarn mantle eliminates hot spots. External PT100 probe measures liquid temperature directly. Patented spill-collect system contains breakage up to 5 L. ±1°C PID accuracy meets pharma and food safety documentation standards. UL + CE certified on every unit shipped, export-ready.

Why Dan Logitech?

Glassco: Structural Excellence

Woven Glass Fiber ensures no direct element-to-flask contact, preventing thermal shock. Chemical-resistant powder coating protects the housing against corrosive spills.

Dan logitech: Intelligent Control

Proprietary PID algorithms eliminate overshoot. Dual-display monitoring (Set Value vs Process Value) ensures your reaction stays within safety parameters.

Reliability Testing

Every unit undergoes a 48-hour burn-in test. CE and ISO certifications come standard for all global laboratory compliance requirements.

Exporting Innovation

NABL, ISO, and CE certified instruments for pharmaceutical R&D, chemical synthesis, and petroleum testing worldwide.

CORE LABORATORY APPLICATIONS

Distillation & Fractionation

Essential for separating components based on volatility. Our mantles provide the uniform heating necessary to maintain a constant boiling point, crucial for high-purity fractionation.

Reflux Reactions

For organic synthesis requiring long-term heating without solvent loss. The PID controllers prevent thermal runaway, ensuring stable reflux conditions for hours or days.

Soxhlet Extraction

Widely used in food science and environmental testing. Our multi-position 'Extraction Banks' are specifically designed to house Soxhlet apparatus with dedicated control for each flask.

Vacuum Distillation

Heating heat-sensitive compounds at lower pressures. The precise voltage regulation of our analog series allows for the delicate 'nudging' of temperatures required under vacuum.

Why Glassco Power Elements Outperform Competitors

At the heart of every Danlogitech heating mantle is our glass fibre yarn knitted mantle that ensures uniform, contact-free heating of the flask. The woven glass fibre acts as a thermal buffer — eliminating hot spots and preventing the thermal shock that causes flask breakage and sample degradation.
Safety is built into every BlackDiamond series mantle. The patented spill-collect system contains spillage from flask breakage up to 5 L within the mantle body. The PRO series (1225) adds dual PT sensors that independently cross-check temperature readings — triggering safe shutdown if either sensor reads an anomaly.

Internal Earthing

Integrated grounding throughout the element net and housing prevents electrical surges in case of liquid spillages or flask breakage.

PID Intelligence

Our microprocessor controllers utilize auto-tuning PID algorithms to eliminate temperature overshoot, protecting sensitive samples.

TECHNICAL FAQ

The industrial analogue series (1220 — 10,000 ml and 20,000 ml) is rated for continuous operation. For long-term programmable cycles in smaller sizes, the Advanced Digital PRO (1225) with its timer and dual-sensor safety system is the recommended choice. The timer can be set from 1 min to 99:59 min with automatic shutoff.

No. All heating mantles are designed strictly for Round Bottom (RB) Flasks conforming to DIN 12347 to ensure proper surface contact.

For flat-bottom glassware, please enquire about DAN Logitech Hotplates (series 500B, 900) or the Digital Dry Block Heater (series 740/750).

The patented spill-collect system on all BlackDiamond series mantles is designed to contain spillage from flask breakage up to 5 L within the mantle body. The glass fibre heating net is chemically inert to most organic solvents. Switch off power immediately and dry-clean before reuse.

All stirrer-equipped heating mantles (series 1221, 1223, 1225) provide a maximum of ~800 RPM variable electronic stir control. The PRO series (1225) offers step control in 50 RPM increments from 50–800 RPM. Note: standalone DAN Logitech hotplate stirrers (series 500B, 900) reach up to 2,000 RPM — these are different products.

All BlackDiamond series are available in both 230V/50Hz (DNEU item codes — Europe, India, Middle East) and 115V/60Hz (DNUS item codes — USA, Americas, Japan). Both are production-standard. Specify voltage when placing an order. Example: 1222.DNEU.04 (1000 ml, 230V) vs 1222.DNUS.04 (1000 ml, 115V).

Trusted by 5,000+ Laboratories in 85 Countries

Pharmaceutical R&D · Chemical Synthesis · Petroleum Testing · Academic Research

“We switched from a local supplier to Glassco across our entire synthesis lab — 14 mantles, multiple sizes. Not a single unit has failed in two years of continuous use. The PID accuracy is genuinely what it says on the spec sheet.”
